Agapé
Community Kitchen The
Agapé Community Kitchen is a youth-led weekly mission project with a
two-fold purpose: 1) To feed
disadvantaged and homeless residents of Elizabeth by providing a
generous weekly hot dinner in an atmosphere that is loving, respectful
and caring. 2.) To serve God in the field of mission, by developing in
the churches’ youth and adult volunteers a lifelong commitment to
mission work. Since
May 3, 2000, the weekly time together includes a concise scripture study
for the volunteers and a time of prayer for the guests at the end of the
night. The mission involves
volunteers from the Presbyterian churches of Westfield; First Elizabeth,
and Cranford. |
