on Preparation for Ministry and Pastoral Support Unit
This unit shall be responsible for all constitutional requirements related to the Committee on Preparation for Ministry (G-14.0300-0314); provide pastoral care and support for candidates under care and all ordained ministers of the Presbytery including those who are retired; make available opportunities for counseling, continuing education, and spiritual development of candidates and ministers; and encourage pastors in the use of continuing education time and funds specified in the terms of their call. Article V (F) Bylaws of the Presbytery of Elizabeth The Pastoral Support Unit, acting within the scope of its responsibility as the constitutionally defined Committee on Preparation for Ministry (G-9.0902) is authorized by the Presbytery to perform those duties and responsibilities and to take those actions defined in G-14.0300(ff) except for those specifically reserved for action by the Presbytery.
