East Front Street, Plainfield, NJ 07060 The
Presbytery offices and Resource Center are located in the United
Presbyterian Church building. The
driveway/parking lot entrance is off East Front Street at a large white
sign, 525. From
the Garden State Parkway North or South – Exit for Route 22 West. Travel
into North Plainfield (about 12 miles) to North Drive (a jughandle; exit
is on the right). Travel
south on North Drive which becomes Norwood Avenue.
Continue to East Front Street, turn left.
You will pass the United Presbyterian Church.
Turn left into the driveway (watch for 525 sign) and look
for the signs for the Presbytery of Elizabeth & Resource Center
on the side of the building. We
are in the lower level on the outbound driveway. From
Route 287 North and South
– Exit for Route 22 East. Travel
into North Plainfield (about 5˝ miles) to North Drive. Travel south (right) on North Drive and follow directions
above. From
Route 78 East or West
– Take Exit 40, “The Plainfields”, and travel south on Hillcrest
Road (Route 531) to the stop at the bottom of the hill.
Turn right and move into the Watchung Circle.
Go three-quarters of the way around the circle to the exit for
Somerset Street. Watch for
a turn to the left (marked for Muhlenburg Hospital) which will be an
access road to a bridge across Route 22.
Make continuing right turns until you come onto Route 22 East.
Travel to North Drive and continue as above. From
the New Jersey Turnpike North
– Exit at the Garden State Parkway.
Come north to Exit 140 for Route 22 West and follow directors
above. From
the New Jersey Turnpike South
– Take Exit 14. Either
come west on Route 78 and follow directions above (fastest) or come west
on Route 22 and follow directions above (slower). From
Route 1 North - Take Route 1 north from New Brunswick to Parsonage Rd., Edison.
(Menlo Park Mall). Take the jughandle for Parsonage Road - you will cross Route
1. Continue on Parsonage
Rd. through 4 traffic lights. Continue
on Parsonage Rd. which becomes James St. after crossing Rt. 27.
Continue past JFK Hospital (on the left). Turn right at the end of James St. onto Grove Ave.
Continue on Grove to the next traffic light at Oak Tree Rd. Turn
left. Continue on Oak Tree
Rd. to the second traffic light at Park Ave. Turn right and continue on Park Ave. until you get to Front
St. This will be a few
miles. You will go past
Muhlenburg Hospital and then into the center of Plainfield.
Turn right on East Front Street.
When you pass the Norwood/Richmond intersection, there is a
high-rise senior housing apartment building on the right and almost
directly across from that building is the United Presbyterian Church
building. Turn left into
the driveway (watch for 525 sign) and look for the signs for the Presbytery
of Elizabeth & Resource Center on the side of the building.
We are in the lower level on the outbound driveway.
(It is about 10 miles from the Menlo Mall to the Presbytery
Office). From
Route 206
- Take Route 206 North from Princeton to Route 22 East. Stay on Route 22 to the Plainfield area, approx. 15 miles.
When you start seeing signs for the Plainfield area, look for the
turn-off for North Drive. (Villa
Furniture is on the eastbound side of Rt. 22 at North Drive)
Turn right onto North Drive from Rt. 22.
Travel south on North Drive which becomes Norwood Avenue.
Continue to East Front Street, turn left. You will pass the United Presbyterian Church.
Turn left into the driveway (watch for 525 sign) and look
for the signs for the Presbytery of Elizabeth & Resource Center
on the side of the building. We
