The mission of FISH is to serve homeless women and families by providing shelter and meals, and such other assistance as they are able, in order to give them a new opportunity to live independently in their communities as respected families and individuals. FHP assist and enables their guests to obtain housing, jobs, medical services, and other assistance to which they are entitled, as far as resources allow. 

FHP serves the tri-country area of Middlesex, Union and Somerset Counties.  Host churches are in Dunellen, Piscataway, South Plainfield, Woodbridge, Plainfield, North Plainfield, Bound Brook, Edison, East Brunswick, and New Brunswick.  Churches in the Presbytery actively supporting this mission include Dunellen, Bethel, Avenel, Middlesex and Oak Tree Presbyterian.

Wish List:

þ  Currently in need of a permanent day facility

þ  Volunteers to serve as substitutes in the day care center or nighttime volunteers in host churches

þ  Pillows, laundry supplies and personal toiletries
