Institute of Music for Children Director/Contact: Alysia Souder (908) 469-1211 E-mail: iomfci@gmail.com Run by the Third Westminster Presbyterian Church, the institute serves as an evangelism vehicle to provide children with a means of pursuing affordable artistic training in a secure surrounding. The institute offers high-quality arts education to fulfill its mission of H.A.R.M.O.N.Y - Helping Achieve Responsible Motivated Optimistic Neighborhood Youth. Through its Summer and Afterschool Institutes, low-to moderate income students ages five to eighteen receive year-round instruction in the arts. The Youth Employment Program trains disadvantage teenagers as mentors and teaching assistants. The new Community Institute brings the same quality arts programming to the most severely at-risk members of the community, including gang-affiliated youth, children in the social service system and juvenile offenders.
Members of Siloam-Hope Presbyterian church are also involved in this ministry.
